I'm sure the people who are bored who unknowingly landed in here must be very surprised how an update came along. And to be honest, i'm very surprised how i decided to come back typing here either.
A good whole 10 months. This site has been dead since. I have come to a point in life i don't fancy keeping up with something just for the sake of it.
It started when i got really busy with L I F E.
2017 was the year filled with endless birthday parties. Because i was 21 last year, it also means most of my friends are 21, and which means 21 equates to probably your biggest birthday party in life.
In June, just a week after i was back from Melbourne (a.k.a my last/previous post), i had one of my babies' surprise birthday party. And shortly after, another of them. And then another...........
Then i got busier with my internship because there were so much to address and attend to, and to handover to the new person.
June was also the month things got real. My sister has finally and legitimately decided that her wedding would be held in October, which is just 4 months away.
Preparations kept whirling in - accompanying her on wedding gowns fitting, trying out different decorations we test-bought from online stores, deciding on bridesmaid dresses, bonding with the bridesmaid (perfume making workshop and the bride's hens night), 过大礼, rehearsals at Grand Hyatt, gate crash associating and preparations, and honestly SO MUCH MORE.
July was the month Jon admitted into National Service where he got into the Singapore Police Force. Our relationship officially stepped into another level where we both appreciate simple things now, be it just watching a movie together or having some drinks at a bar. Our relationship got much simpler to handle, to love. And this is what contributed to me no longer fancy putting everything onto social media or in words because there weren't much to say anymore either. It was from there i actually found out that the lesser i post or talk, the more carefree and happier i feel. I currently only enjoy talking in depth to my close ones, face to face, not through technology.
I think as you grow up, you find yourself from posting lengthy things online to short-and-sweet messages. Because you realise there is absolute no need to publicize everything and let the world know (or judge) you.

July was also the month i started planning for my birthday party.
I wanted a platform, even if it was just for a day, to gather all my loves ones, witness them mingle around, and feeling all blessed because of their existence.
And in August, i really did!!!!
(PS: Too much to put up all the pictures so these are just some)
Things got even busier from there because September means there was only 1 month left for my sister's wedding. September was the month i finally had time to sink in the fact that my sister is really getting married, and that someone whom i have stuck with through everything since birth is going to leave me alone in the room, officially.
And to be very honest, i was coping quite bad.
The day she got married, i remember coming home, crying non-stop because i was genuinely happy and touched at the whole recaps of her wedding that afternoon. But i was also feeling so empty and sad that i'm "losing" my sister.
I remember receiving her text that night, and i remember how from there every week she still met up with us for dinner. Every day we still text each other about anything small or big. We still meet up very often, talk about everything that's happening around/to us. And i was shook.
Because i finally understood that real meaning of "We will grow up, but we won't grow apart".
I never felt like I "lost" my sister. I never felt like something changed between us.
In fact i felt that because of this, we have gotten even much closer. We appreciate everything we share, have, say. And each time we meet up, and if we don't for more than a week, we just look at each other and say "Sist i miss you leh."
I still miss you in the room Sist, but i'm so much happier seeing you so blissful everyday since marriage. Keep it that way forever :')

^ PS: Cannot forget the moment when all the guests, including me, were watching the wedding highlights video in the wedding hall, and the moment my dad was tearing and the videographer caught it on camera, everyone applauded and cheered for that touching moment :')
In October, a week after my sister's wedding, i got on a flight to Bali with Jon!
I was pretty excited for this because it was my first time heading for an island getaway and Bali was quite a hyped island that everyone seems to have already set foot on, but i haven't!
In November, my sister and I had an impromptu trip to Guangzhou for her birthday trip!
All was so good and memorable because chances of us sisters heading for a solo trip together is really slim, so every time we do, we cherish it more. The nights and train rides we spend having heart-to-heart talks, oh i miss them so.
It was also this trip that i finally went to Hong Kong (love it there cos of those HK dramas) after so many years, and saw how independent my pregnant cousin was - living and taking care of herself and her son in the womb in a foreign country, yet she was really strong and independent, and positive about everything. Note that she has no kins there while her husband works everyday.
^ One of my favourite shopping destination in Guangzhou along with Shangxiajiu Street!
Will probably combine with my trip again to Guangzhou this June and put up a more detailed itinerary of GZ here!
December concludes all the other 21st birthdays and my year ended with a trip back to my lovely hometown. My last day of the year was spend like a kid, playing with fireworks and no drinks this year. Simple as it sounds, i was actually quite happy about it. The year officially ended with 5 weddings i attended, and yes you may not believe, but all 5 were my close relatives'.
January this year was good because i got to spend so much quality time with 2 of my precious - Olivia and Elise. We don't get to see each other often, the most is always once a year. But i was so glad they had short trip back to Singapore, and i spent so many days bringing that 2 rascals on my own, and felt my energy drained so much to another extent.
February concluded my last leap in my University life.
Yes i have unofficially graduated. Done with all exams and submissions and currently just waiting for my graduation ceremony which will be tentatively held on Nov'2018.
February was an even better month when CNY came, and i had my Yap Family trip to Bali. Time spent with my paternal relatives is a whole new level of love and blessings.
Feb was also the time i had an instant-but-not-lasting decision to come back to this space soon to update about anything. It was because of the bond and love i share with my paternal relatives that made me want to come back and boast about it.
I am proud not because we are notable families, but that everyone of us are so genuine, selfless, so giving, and everyone have endless amount of love to shower. Everyone isn't petty, everyone isn't fake. Everyone cherish this big family. Everyone is proud of our family line. Everyone loves this 50+ member family.

^ Caught wild dolphins swimming but it was all in video format
With all that i needed to say, i conclude this post not knowing when will actually be the next update. Maybe it would be my upcoming Korea or China trip update? Till then, i love this space still.
